Fleisher Art Memorial Wedding Photographer

She is an artist and he owns a comic book store, put the two together and you could not have picked a better venue for their nuptials. The Fleisher Art Memorial Is located in South Philly and when you are initially walking in the front door you do not know what to expect. As the day began the bride was on the 4th floor getting ready in one of the studios. The groom waited down below in The Bootsie Weiss Children's Garden. This lovely courtyard garden is lined with painted clay masks made by children. We used this location for their first look and then family formal photos. From there we moved to the unbelievable sanctuary where the ceremony would take place. Its just a great old world gothic church that looks like something you might find in Europe in the 1600's.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom led their party to a cocktail reception back out in the garden while the catering staff transformed the sanctuary into the dinner space. We also took that opportunity to get some portraits of the bride and groom in different places around the building and out in the streets of Philadelphia.

Dinner was set up as a very large family-style pair of tables running the entire length of the sanctuary with the bride and groom at the head - exactly as a king and queen would reign over a dinner party in the castle.

I enjoyed shooting at this venue and look forward to again. For more information on the location go to: http://fleisher.org/rentals/

They have a preferred caterer list, of which I have only used two of them myself and would highly recommend both:
